Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American actress and singer whose acting versatility earned her praise across many genres ranging from period drama to thrillers and action. Johansson grew up within New York City as the mother of an architect as well as an executive from a production firm. Hunter was twins with their younger sisters. From a young age, she developed a passion for acting. She began making commercial auditions around the age seven. The passion for acting developed quickly and she enrolled shortly thereafter in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. When she was eight, she appeared together with Ethan Hawke in the Off-Broadway production Sophistry when she was nine. At that age, she made her debut in film in Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson starred next as a character in Just Cause (1995), before making her big break in the film Manny & Lo - a story about two sisters, orphans that are able to escape. Her next film won the attention of critics for her character as a teenager who has had a life-threatening accident The Horse Whisperer (1998) as well as further recognition for her role as the cynical teenage who is a solitary Rebecca in Ghost World (2001). She has given a variety of amazing performances like Wildflower. Renee Felice Smith entered the arena of entertainment at the age when she was very young. It was her love of acting as an infant. Smith was offered her first gig as an actor at age six through the support of her parents. In a television commercial, she starred as Dannon Yogurt. Similar to many actors starting out, she chose to refine her craft in the world of theater. As she worked on other projects around the USA she also made her theatrical debut in Wildflower. She graduated from her Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
